Instrument Panel
The flowing shape originating at the cowl and leading to the doors integrates with the low position of the instrument panel, while the simple door trim and the console passing between the driver and passenger seat present a clean, wide-open impression. In addition, the Ultrasuede seats and upper wood-grain console create a refined omotenashi space.
BEV System
The Lexus RZ's all-electric powertrain delivers smooth, responsive performance with an impressive driving range. A high-capacity lithium-ion battery, advanced thermal management system, and efficient electric motors work together to maximize performance, stability, and comfort, while the dedicated electric platform enhances interior space, driving dynamics, and overall refinement.
Charging
The high-efficiency charging system features a compact onboard charger with smart charging indicators and secure lock systems for added safety during charging. My Room mode allows occupants to use features like air conditioning and audio while connected to an external power source, without draining the battery.
Body Rigidity
Structural adhesives, LSW (Laser Screw Welding) and laser pinning welding technologies were used to reinforce the body frame joints, enhancing both handling stability and ride comfort. The addition of a double ring structure and use of high rigidity foam helps prevent distortion to reduce cross-sectional deformation of the rear luggage space opening.

Built on a dedicated BEV platform, the RZ features a high-capacity lithium-ion battery paired with a high-efficiency electric motor system. The DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system (on RZ 450e) intelligently distributes torque between front and rear axles from 0:100 to 100:0, optimizing traction, stability, and acceleration response in real time.
Driver Information & Display Technology
Includes a fully digital instrument cluster and an available Head-Up Display (HUD) that projects key driving information such as speed, navigation prompts, and safety alerts onto the windshield for reduced distraction and improved focus.
Lexus Interface Multimedia System

Interior Illumination
The multi-color ambient illumination around the instrument panel creates a spacious and immersive atmosphere, especially at night. A palette of 14 carefully selected colors reflects the changing moods and emotions inspired by natural phenomena, enhancing the cabin’s sense of elegance and tranquility.
Interior Space
The long wheelbase provides generous rear-seat comfort, with a couple distance of approximately 1,000 mm (39.3 in). The gently rising rear cabin profile ensures ample rear headroom, enhancing the feeling of openness for all passengers. In addition, the available panoramic roof further amplifies the sense of width, light, and front-to-rear spaciousness throughout the cabin.
Cockpit ( Tazuna concept )
The cockpit is designed around the Tazuna concept, which embodies Lexus’ human-centered approach. Inspired by the Japanese word for “reins,” it reflects the connection between horse and rider, translating this idea into intuitive vehicle control. Steering wheel-mounted switches are carefully aligned with the Head-Up Display, allowing drivers to access key information with minimal eye and hand movement. Navigation, audio, and vehicle functions can be operated smoothly and intuitively, helping the driver remain focused on the road.
Design Concept - Front
The spindle grille, an icon of Lexus design, has evolved from a graphic element into a three-dimensional form known as the “spindle body.” Three-dimensional front fenders—made possible through the combined expertise of design and manufacturing—frame both sides of this central spindle body. The sculpted forms and refined color scheme emphasize the distinctive character of the Lexus BEV identity.
Design Concept – Side
The front fenders appear to wrap around the wheels and flow seamlessly toward the rear, expressing a strong sense of forward motion. The pronounced three-dimensional surfaces over the rear fenders emphasize tire width and highlight the dynamic performance of the DIRECT4 system. In addition, the flowing contrast of the door surfaces creates a sculpted, expressive profile with a refined and visually dynamic presence.
Design Concept – Rear
The rear design features a clean, horizontal layout aligned with the vehicle’s wide stance, emphasizing stability and the RZ’s torque-rich performance character. The Lexus name is integrated into the full-width rear combination lamp design, while a thin central red light bar accentuates the branding and enhances the sharp, modern visual identity.
EXTERIOR
The Lexus RZ features a sleek, aerodynamic exterior defined by bold proportions, a distinctive spindle-inspired front fascia, and signature LED lighting. Its flowing silhouette and confident stance reflect the innovative spirit of Lexus’ all-electric luxury design philosophy.
PERFORMANCE
The Lexus Driving Signature is a uniquely Lexus driving experience that aims to deliver predictable, linear response according to the driver's intentions, providing an exhilarating feel of seamlessly connected acceleration, steering and deceleration in all driving conditions. It endows the RZ with impressive fundamental performance using high-precision motor torque control, together with optimal battery and motor placement to create ideal weight distribution and high response. It shapes "The Natural" driving concept based on the DIRECT4 AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) system that controls front and rear drive force according to driving and road surface conditions, providing driving performance that directly responds according to the driver's input. It also takes the Lexus Driving Signature to an even higher level.

Cockpit (Tazuna concept)
The cockpit design is based on the Tazuna concept, a layout that advances Lexus' humancentered philosophy. Inspired by Tazuna, Japanese for the reins that riders use to control a horse, the steering wheel features switches that are precisely synced with the Head-up Display, creating a space where drivers can concentrate on driving.
Head-up Display
Projects key driving information onto the windshield within the driver's line of sight, helping keep focus on the road while maintaining a clear view ahead.
Touch Tracing Operation
Detects finger movements on the steering wheel controls and displays guidance on the Color Head-Up Display, enabling intuitive operation without taking your eyes off the road.
Interior Illumination

Aerodynamics
Design modelling made possible by a BEV and a focus on the reduction of aerodynamic drag (Cd) contributed to excellent aerodynamic performance that extends the cruising range. A longitudinal vortex generated by the sides of the distinctive roof spoiler suppresses aerodynamic force on the body in a crosswind, enhancing driving stability. The center of the roof is shaped to allow air to flow smoothly from the sloped rear glass surface to the rear of the vehicle.
Design Concept - Front

The rear features a simple, precise horizontal design matched to the hips to highlight the wide stance, and express the RZ's torque-filled performance identity. The Lexus name logo is integrated into the horizontal rear combination lamps, the thinner red lens in the center of the light bar running underneath accentuates the logo type and reinforces the sharp look.

SRS Airbags
The Lexus RZ is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system, including Driver and Passenger Airbags, Front Side Airbags, and Side Curtain Airbags. Lexus Safety Sense 3.0
The Lexus RZ is equipped with Lexus Safety Sense 3.0, an advanced suite of driver-assistance technologies designed to enhance safety and confidence on every journey. RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert)
To assist safe reversing, RCTA uses quasi-millimeter-wave radars in the rear bumper to detect approaching vehicles in difficult-to-see areas behind the vehicle. When an approaching vehicle is detected, RCTA alerts the driver using a buzzer and indicator in the relevant door mirror.
Blind Spot Monitor System
When the quasi-millimeter-wave radars in the rear bumper detect vehicles in adjacent lanes that aren’t visible in the door mirrors, the system activates a warning indicator in the relevant door mirror the moment a vehicle enters this blind spot.
