NOISE REDUCING WHEELS 17" ALLOY WHEELS:

10-Speaker Audio System with identical performance are arranged along the shoulder line which runs from the instrument panel to the door tops, effectively surrounding the cabin. By placing speakers close to occupants’ ears so there are fewer obstructions, this layout realizes clear sound, even in the rear seats.
Active Noise Control
Active Noise Control uses engine rpm and a dedicated microphone to identify and reduce muffled engine sound by outputting an opposite-phase sound from the speakers to cancel it out, significantly enhancing quietness in the cabin.
Rearview Camera
When you put the vehicle in reverse, the view from the backup camera is shown on the multimedia display in full color with dynamic gridlines to assist you with parking and other maneuvers.
SRS Airbags
10-Airbags: The front-passenger seat is designed to detect whether the seat is occupied by an adult or a child, or is vacant. In case the system detects a child or empty passenger seat, the system prevents the passenger’s front, side and knee airbags from being deployed. The front passenger’s airbag features two chambers, creating an indentation in the center impact area that helps to provide occupant protection in a severe frontal collision.

More than a convenient way to access multimedia, climate controls and Navigation,* the Remote Touchpad mimics smartphone operations with ample touch surface area, pulsation feedback, and intuitive pinch, swipe and flick gestures—even integrating handwritten input. Drivers can also quickly access submenus when on screens with multiple options.

PERFORMANCE
The ES refines the basics of performance – as demonstrated by its smooth acceleration and optimized concerning control and driving thrill. All components are engineered to boost driving pleasure, while reducing vibrations to ensure excellent ride comfort and quietness. The newly-developed Direct Shift-8AT delivers both exciting performance with direct response and outstanding fuel efficiency.
Additionally, aerodynamic performance is seamlessly integrated into the elegantly-shaped silhouette so that air flows from the rear seats to the trailing edge of the trunk. This integrated design, including incorporated fins on the underbody and rear combination lamps contribute collectively to the quiet interior, excellent fuel efficiency and driving stability.
TECHNOLOGY
The Lexus ES features innovating technology, including a suite of safety features, Bluetooth®, 8-inch display, climate control and more. Even the platform of the ES has been redeveloped entirely by Lexus to create a foundation of excellence. The GA-K (Global Architecture-K) platform has several key engineered components to improve design, performance, ride quality, quietness and safety. To further enhance stability and safety, Lexus engineers also used hot-stamp and high-tensile steel in key body components using advanced manufacturing technologies.

GA-K (Global Architecture-K) Platform
Lexus developed a new platform for the ES from scratch to create the foundation for excellence. To augment the vehicle’s excellent DNA with its a low center of gravity and uniform lateral weight distribution, the geometry of the high-rigidity body and chassis were optimized to deliver excellent straight-line driving stability, stable cornering, and braking stability. In addition, the integration of advanced features including the newly-developed parallel rack EPS (Electric Power Steering), AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension system), and performance dampers provide secure and pleasant handling that closely responds to the driver’s intentions. Finally, vibrations were blocked to reduce noise and ensure a comfortable ride.
SAFETY
DIRECT TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM
The direct Tire Pressure Monitor System continually monitors the air pressure of all four tires. When the tire pressure drops to a critically low level, a light on the instrument panel alerts the driver to the location of the tire.
RIGID BODY STRUCTURE WITH CRUMPLE ZONES
Helping to dissipate the force of a collision, crumple zones in the front and rear are intentionally designed to compress at a controlled rate, helping protect occupants within the more rigid passenger compartment.
VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL
This system can detect sideslip of the wheels while cornering, and helps to control it using modulation of engine power and selective application of individual brakes. It works in conjunction with the Anti-lock Braking System and Traction Control to help improve driver control under some adverse conditions.
