Created through more than a decade of research and development – the supercar Lexus LFA broke grounds in performance. Although its production was limited to only 500 units – the LFA set the bench high for other models to follow suite.
The LFA broke grounds and lap records on the Nürburgring race track with its powerful V10 paired with an Automated Sequential Gearbox that produces upshifts within 200 milliseconds. Hand-selected craftsmen were tasked with creating this special supercar and making it the best production. Its success inspired the subsequent high-performance vehicles in the F line.

LFA CARBON FIBER
To create this special model – a contemporary medium of carbon fiber, created in a custom process designed specifically for the supercar. A special loom was invented to create a circular carbon fiber weave that became the LFA’s pillar. This manufacturing process was created by Lexus engineers especially for the slender A-pillars that support the roof on either side of the windshield, the engineers needed to create pillars that were both rigid and strong enough to withstand hurricane winds of 325 kilometers per hour. Therefore, seamless construction was necessary to eliminate potential sources of weakness.

The LFA sound is as close to the rear of a Formula One race as you get in a production vehicle. The supercar is Lexus’ most profound crafted expression, known for being the best.
